PLASMA CHEMICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION (PCVD):
A New Tool for Advanced Optical Fiber Development
This
meeting will introduce the audience to the PCVD Preform fabrication process
and its advantages for the development of next generation advanced optical
fibers. Communications and specialty fibers, both singlemode and multimode
will be presented and discussed.
Two Great Speakers:
Bill Beck represents the Specialty Fiber and Preform product lines of
Yangtze Optical Fiber and Cable and Cable Company, Ltd. (YOFC) in North
America.
Bill is President-Elect and Program Co-Chair of the NEFC. He is
the former CEO and co-founder of Verrillon; former President of SpecTran
Specialty Optics Company (now OFS-Specialty Photonics, Avon, CT) and the
former President of Ensign-Bickford Optics Company (EBOC), the inventor
of Hard Clad Silica (HCS®) fiber. Bill is a technical marketing
consultant in addition to representing YOFC.
