Jim's presentation covered:
Photonic clustering activities in "Silicon Valley North" and
the rest of Canada
Specific company examples leading photonics technology in the area
Local commercialization initiatives dedicated to photonics.
Prior to joining the NRC, Jim has worked for both technology start-ups
and multi-national companies including Zenastra Photonics (Ottawa), Peleton
Photonics (Ottawa), Scion Photonics (San Jose), and Tyco Electronics (Harrisburg).
Jim has worked in over 9 countries and has been at the forefront of new
technology introduction as well as a leader in development of innovative
business development strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity to initiate networking relationships
with a large group of photonics/fiber optics manufacturers & research
labs in close proximity to New England.
